Allen, of Lake Ariel, originally from Oyster Bay, LI., died Sunday evening at his home in the hideout. He is survived by his wife of 30 years Christine C. Allen and a stepson Brett Scholer. Born March 11, 1938 in Williston Park New Jersey, he was the son of the late Clifford and Jennie Yavoski Allen. Rick was a proud Coast Guard Veteran and was a heating and plumbing specialist in Long Island. He was also a mechanic, a boat enthusiast, and an all-around Jack of all trades. Rick was Past Commander and Chaplin of the American Legion Post 694 in Northport NY. He and his wife built a large log home and finished off the inside after the shell was built. It was a true labor of love. Also surviving are three other children. A funeral service will be private at the convenience of the family.
