Richard J. Hennebury, 75 of Lake Ariel, passed away Sunday afternoon at home.  His wife, the former Lucille Madden passed away in 2003.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Linus and Catherine Greene – Hennebury. He earned a AS in Business Administration and BSBA in Management from Northeastern University in Boston, MA; Throughout the years, he worked as an EMT in East Boston, a Operating Room Technician at Carney hospital, Dorchester Massachusetts, Sears Warehouse in Boston, MA; and a Clark at Howe’s 84 Gas Station. He was a 20 year Veteran of the United States Coast Guard. He was an honorable man and loved hard.

Surviving are his sons Jason Hennebury and his wife Terri of Lake Ariel, Ryan Hennebury and his wife Maria of New York; a daughter Kerry Hennebury of Nevada; several stepchildren; a sister Kathy Langston of N. Carolina; a brother James Hennebury of Maine; 7 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a great granddaughter Sophia Hennbury; his first wife the former Karen Cummings.

Private cremation took place at Lake Region Crematory in the James Wilson Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements have been entrusted to and are under the care and direction of James Wilson Funeral Home, Lake Ariel.
