Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday at 10:00 a.m.   at St Mary’s Church, Church Rd Lake Ariel, PA; to be celebrated by Rev. Stephen Stavoy, Pastor. Interment with military honors will follow in St Mary’s Cemetery.

All attending the funeral are sked to go directly to the church.

Friends may call Sunday from 1 to 5pm at The James Wilson Funeral Home 143 Gravity Road Lake Ariel.

In lieu of flowers donation may be made in Rich’s name to the Tunnel for Towers Fund, 2361 Hylan Blvd. Staten Island NY, 10306.

Richard F. Migliorato, 88, of Lake Ariel, died Saturday morning at Allied Hospice in Wilkes Barre. He was the husband of Catherine Napoli Migliorato. The couple had been married 62 years. Born in Brooklyn, he was the son of the late Domenick and Jennie Santapaola Migliorato. He was a graduate of Newtown High School in Elmhurst, NY and proudly served his country in the US Navy. He and his brother Donald owned and operated Pep Garage and Service Station in Brooklyn, NY. He was a parishioner of St Mary’s Church in Lake Ariel.

 

Richard was a member of the Elks Club in Queens, president of the WLE Golf Club, and started the Advisory Board in WLE subsequently becoming the first president of said board. Rich loved sports especially the Jets, Eagles, Rangers and Yankees. He was an avid golfer and fisherman, and particular enjoyed ice fishing.

 

Also surviving are his two sons Richie Migliorato, Union Beach, NJ; and Donald Migliorato, Franklin Square, NY; two daughters Cathy Comeau and her husband  Bill, Smithtown, NY; and Jennifer Williams and her husband Jimmy, Carle Place, NY; two sisters Frances Carbonara Glen Head, NY; and Joan O’Grady and her husband Ben, Somers, NY; a brother Donald Migliorato and his wife Jean, Gouldsboro, PA six grandchildren Cathy, James, Gina, Jenna, Juliane, and Matthew; and two great grandchildren Joseph and Easton.
