Rhett L. Mattox, 64, of Paupack Township, died Saturday evening at Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton unexpectedly. His loving wife of 24 years is the former Erin O’Brien.

Born December 8, 1956 in Farmington, MI, he was the son of the late Bobby Wayne Mattox and AlmaRose Miller. He spent most of his life in the mechanical field. In the middle of all that he worked in Disney’s Magic Kingdom where he met his wife. He was a proud member of the Ledgedale Volunteer Fire Company where he served as a Rescue Diver and Instructor for the Dive/Rescue Team. He was also a Dive Master Instructor for Inland Water Sports in Luzerne, Pa. He will forever be known as “The Man Who Could Fix Anything.”

When he wasn’t off cruising the world with his wife, his time was spent camping with his wife and grand kids, riding fast roller coaster, or scuba diving the big blue seas.
