Her ashes will be spread on the beaches she loved. Share your Memorial with Family & Friends Regina Riecker, of Hawley, died Thursday morning at St. Mary’s Villa following an illness. She was the widow of William Riecker who died in 1999. Born in New York, NY she was the daughter of the late Matthew and Edna Clark McMahon. Prior to retirement she was an Executive Assistant at Sports Illustrated. Regina loved Basketball from the time her children played and she chaired the CYO (Catholic Youth Organization) league for Blessed Sacrament Catholic school and on. She enjoyed playing cards and Bingo and reading. Regina loved the beach. She spent summers at Rockaway Beach, NY and retired in West Palm Beach, FL. You could always find her in a sand chair reading a book soaking up the sun. She returned north to Hawley for the last few years to enjoy the four seasons. Regina loved with her whole heart and everyone that knew her felt it. She was passionate about her family and never put herself first. Surviving are her daughters Regina O’Sullivan and her husband Johnny of Coral Springs, FL, and Maureen Smith of Hawley; a son Thomas Brennan of California; grandchildren John Thomas, Dylan, Brennan, Philip, Kristin, Ricky, Claire, Matthew, Flynn, and Liam; great grandson Declan. Cremation took place at Lake Region Crematory, Lake Ariel. Her ashes will be spread on the beaches she loved.
