Polly Chapman Ciscoe of Hollisterville died Monday morning at St. Mary’s Villa Nursing Home following an illness. Her husband was the late Alton B. Ciscoe, II who died in 1964. Her long-time companion was Robert Clegg who died in 1998.

Born in Scranton, daughter of the late Herbert E. and Helen Walker Chapman, she was a lifelong member of the Hollisterville United Methodist Church and trustee of the Hollisterville Cemetery Association. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and caring friend.

She was a lady with a lively personality and a quick wit who was known as “Mrs. Clean” to all who knew and loved her. Her family was the main focus of her life.

The family especially wishes to thank the Hamlin Senior Center and its Director, Debbie Bartel, for all the special care and contributions they made to her life the ten plus years she attended!  Also, special thanks to St. Mary’s Villa Residence for their patience and care of Polly and supplying her with a beautiful and caring environment for over six years.

Surviving are a son Alton III and his wife Suzanne of Madison Twp; two grandchildren Jennifer and Johnine; seven great-grandchidlren Ashley, Connor, Amanda, Skylar, Cassandra, Samantha, and Niel; two great-great-grandsons Noah and Rowan; a sister Macy “Betty” Schillow of Moscow; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded death by a daughter Tami Sue Ciscoe; a sister Florence Williams, a brother Boyd Chapman.

Funeral Services will be Saturday at 11:00am in the James Wilson Funeral Home 143 Gravity Rd. Lake Ariel.

Friends may call Saturday from 9:30-11:00am.

Private Interment, Hollisterville Cemetery, Hollisterville.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made the Hollisterville Cemetery Association c/o James Polley, President 103 Hollisterville Highway Moscow, PA 18444.
