Nancy F. Davis, Jefferson Twp., formerly of Lakeville, passed away Friday morning at the home of her sister and caregiver, Cynthia Chumard.

Born in Honesdale, Aug. 24, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Clifton and Helen Barrick Davis. She was a member of the Lakeville United Methodist Church and had been employed at the Human Resources Center in Beach Lake. Programs through HRC gave Nancy opportunities to be part of the community and develop cherished friendships for many years.

Nancy loved animals and was eager to have a conversation and always asked how you are doing. She enjoyed watching game shows on TV, doing puzzles and making crafts.

Sincere gratitude is expressed to the caregivers throughout the years whose care and kindness helped provide Nancy the opportunity to enjoy so many wonderful experiences in the community and in life. While she was able, she enjoyed miniature golf, bowling, fairs, festivals and movies. In later years her time was spent at the senior citizen centers for lunch and activities, her favorite being bingo. Being able to socialize was a vital part of her ongoing enjoyment of life.

Nancy’s family extends the utmost and sincere gratitude to Beth Page for providing her with a caring, loving home for so many years. Beth and her husband Gary made her part of their family and we will be forever grateful.

Surviving are her loving family including sisters, Katherine Kovachevich, of Missouri; and Cynthia Chumard and her companion, Blaise Pantuso, with whom Nancy resided; brothers, James C. Davis and his wife, Sylvia, of Lakeville; Richard S. Davis and his wife, Carol, of Honesdale; and Scott A. Davis, of Lakeville; nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephews; and great-great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a nephew, Scott Bihler.

A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, September 11th at 2:00pm in the James Wilson Funeral Home, Lake Ariel by the Rev. Art Yetter.

Friends may call from 1:00pm until the time of service in the Funeral Home.
