A celebration of Mary Ann’s life will take place Wednesday at 10am in the Salem Community Church Route 590 Hamlin by Rev. Jeff Rarich, pastor.

There will be no services on Tuesday.

MaryAnn K. Moore, Jefferson Twp., died Thursday in the Moses Taylor Hospital after an illness.  Her husband of 56 years is Allyn Moore.

Born 1942 in Lake Henry, she was the daughter of the late Clayton and Mildred Hallock Swoyer. Mary Ann was very active in the community and was a member of the Jefferson Twp. Ambulance Company, the Salem Community Church where she was very involved with its rummage sale and she also served on the board of directors of the Kizer Cemetery.  She and her husband loved vacationing in Sanibel Island, Florida.   Her love for that area is also reflected in her membership in the Edwater Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, the Elks Heart and the American Legion Post Auxiliary 081.

Mary Ann loved baking, cooking and taking care of her family.

Also surviving are a son Jeff Moore and his wife Penny of Jefferson Twp; daughters Leigh Ann Merring of Lake Ariel and Kim Mushaw-Austin of  Moscow; grandson Dustin Merring; granddaughter Janet Baluta;  several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a daughter Lynn Moore;  brothers Clayton, Lloyd, Harry and David Swoyer; a sister Viola Krisiak.

Friends may call Monday from 4-7pm in the James Wilson Funeral Home 143 Gravity Rd. Lake Ariel.
