Interment, St. Catherine’s Cemetery, Moscow.

Mary L. French, a resident of the St. Mary’s Villa Nursing Home, formerly of The Hideout, Lake Ariel, died Thursday evening after an illness.  She was the widow of Edward G. French, who died in 1993.

Mary was born 1921, in New York, and was the daughter of the late Anna Colonna & Lawrence Loria.  She worked for Mutual Engraving and Printing Company in West Hempstead, New York.  She was an avid bowler and golfer.  Prior to her entering the Villa she was a member of the St. Thomas More and St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Parish Community.

Surviving are her son Philip E. French of Oregon; daughter Louise A. Pettit of Lake Ariel;       Five grandchildren:  Michele Hauenstein, Mary Ahmadzadeh, Marjorie Pettit, Edward Pettit, and Joseph Pettit;  Four great-grandchildren: Sarah Pettit, Grace Hauenstein, Nathaniel Hauenstein, and Matthew Pettit.
