Lake Ariel with funeral services immediately following by Rev. Matthew Armstrong, pastor of the Lake Ariel United Methodist Church. Friends may call Wednesday from 12:30pm until time of service. Interment, Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst. Share your Memorial with Family & Friends Mary A. Gregory, a lifelong resident of Lake Ariel, passed away Saturday morning in the Julia Ribaudo Extended Care Center after an illness. She was the widow of David C. Gregory who passed away October 3, 1985. Born 1927 in Lake Ariel, she was the daughter of the late Morton and Gertrude Conklin Moore and was a graduate of the Lake Consolidated School. Mary was a devoted member of the Lake Ariel United Methodist Church and was active in many of the church’s groups. Prior to her retirement she had been employed locally in the dress manufacturing industry as well as the former Julia Ribaudo Nursing Home. Mrs. Gregory was very active in the community and served as a judge of elections for Lake Township, Wayne County, the Lake Ariel Senior Citizens Group and the Harriet Greene Chapter 198 Order of the Eastern Star where she was a past worthy matron and served as chaplain for many years. Surviving are children Daniel R. Gregory and wife Nancy, Debra S. Fetzner, Dawn L. Chamberlain, Dale E. Gregory and wife Joan and Atty David M. Gregory; brother Rev. Clifford Moore; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by sons in law Allen Chamberlain and Fred Fetzner; siblings Pauline, Edward, Charles, John, Morton, Roger and Beverly.
