Edwards, 88, of Lake Ariel, passed away Wednesday afternoon in Wayne Woodlands Manor, Waymart. Her husband of 66 years is Wayne C. Edwards. Born October 24, 1927 in South Canaan she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Obelia Jennings Chumard. She was a graduate of Lake Consolidated School and earned a Bachelors Degree in Music from Marywood University. She was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church, in Hamlin. She was a music teacher in the Western Wayne School District for 40 years. Marion’s love of music continued after retirement. She was the organist for many different Church’s in Southern Wayne County. She was a member of Daughters of the American Revolution, the Salvation Army, and a member of the Delta Kappa Gamma Phi Sorority. Surviving are her sons Timothy and Daniel and his wife Robin both of Lake Ariel; grandchildren Marisa, Wesley, and Christopher Edwards; great-grandchild Faith Wood; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister Genieve Cook and brothers Howard and Franklin Chumard. Funeral services will be held Monday at 12pm in the James Wilson Funeral Home 143 Gravity Rd.
