A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, November 4th at 11:00am in St. Mary’s Church, 334 St. Mary Church Road, Lake Ariel with services by Rev. Stephen Bosomafi, Pastor.

Friends may call from 10:30am – 11:00am in the church.

Interment, Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Cemetery, Scranton.

Arrangements have been entrusted to and are under the care and direction of James Wilson Funeral Home, Lake Ariel.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions in Marie’s honor be made to: Hamlin Senior Center, c/o Debbie Birtel, 15 Township Building Road, Hamlin, Pa 18427.

Marie S. Laskowski, 94 of Lake Ariel, passed away Sunday evening at Mountain View Care Center following an illness. She is the widow of Frank Laskowski who passed away in 1975.

Marie was born in Scranton in 1928, she was the daughter of the late Mary and Lucas Malek. She was the seconded youngest of nine siblings. She was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School in 1946, and married Frank Laskowski in 1948. The couple moved to his family farm in Sterling, Pa, where she became a farmer’s wife and they had 5 children.

Marie was a woman of deep faith and a member of the St. Thomas More / St. Mary’s Parish Community, where she was active in the Altar and Rosary Society for many years. Also, for 19 years she was a member of the Hamlin Senior Center, where she volunteered, helping to serve others as well as actively participating in the centers activities.

Surviving are daughters Diane Hull; Barbara Helm and her husband Michael; sons Donald Laskowski and his wife Gail; Raymond Laskowski and his wife Victoria; Thirteen grandchildren; twenty-two great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son John, and her eight sibling’s.
