A blessing service will be held Saturday at 11am in the James Wilson Funeral Home 143 Gravity Rd. Lake Ariel officiated by Rev Stephen Stavoy.

Family and friends are invited to attend the blessing service as well as the gathering to follow at the funeral home until 4pm.

Cremation will follow in the Lake Region Crematory at the James Wilson Funeral Home.

Marianne Parmelee, Wallenpaupack Lake Estates, died late Tuesday in the WilkesBarre General Hospital after an illness.  She was the widow of Charles H. Parmelee who died March 1, 2017.  The couple had been married 57 years.

Born in Brooklyn, NY she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Frances Rochford.  She was of the Roman Catholic faith.  Prior to her retirement she had been employed by New Jersey Bell Telephone.   Marianne was an active member in the WLE Women’s Club and the Red Hats.

Surviving are daughters Theresa Parmelee of Florida and Veronica Philip and her husband Charles of Sparta, NJ;   sons Charles J. Parmelee and his wife Doreen of Hawley and Matthew Parmelee and his wife Carrie of Newton, NJ;  a sister Diana Toomey of Miller Place, NY;  grandchildren Sabrina, Jennifer, Corey, Trevor, Kyle, Connor and Caeley;  great grandchildren Brandon, Falon and Raelynn;  several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by brothers Thomas, Edward, James and Joseph Rochford.
