Margaret Mary Kocsis Pawloski of Avoy died peacefully Sunday night at home following an illness. Her  husband was the late Anthony P. Pawloski who died in 1985.

Born 1919 in Dunmore, she was a faithful and dedicated member of St. Mary’s Church, Ledgedale, where she was a charter member of the Altar and Rosary Society and she was also the Decorating Coordinator. She was a farmwife and homemaker.

Margaret was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt. She loved gardening, flowers and was a great cook.

The family would like to extend special thank you to Dr. Paula Bennett for her many years of care and to Caregivers America for their wonderful aides, especially Patty Davis as well as Hospice of the Sacred Heart for their compassion.

Surviving are a son John with whom she resided; a daughter Jean Pruss and her husband Phil of Hamlin; a brother George Kocsis and his wife Joan of Dunmore; grandchildren Jennifer McKissick and her husband John and Matthew Pruss; great-grandchildren Daniel and Brendan; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by brothers John, Joseph, Stephen, Edward and Frank Kocsis; sisters Mary Kocsis, Anna Bellarosa and Catherine Sturek.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 11:00am in St. Mary’s Church 305 St. Mary’s Church Rd. Ledgedale.

Anyone attending the mass is asked to go directly to the church.

Friends may call Monday from 4:00-7:00pm in the James Wilson Funeral Home 143 Gravity Rd. Lake Ariel.

Friends may also call Tuesday morning from 10am until time of Mass at the church.

Interment, St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ledgedale.
