Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10am in St. Thomas More Church, 105 Gravity Rd. Lake Ariel by Rev. Stephen Stavoy, Pastor. Family members may go the funeral home at 9:00 a.m.
All attending the funeral are invited to go directly to the church.
Interment, St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ledgedale.
Born in Hillside N.J. on August 31, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Mildred Karge Wittel. Prior to retirement, she had been a switchboard operator for 27years at Beth Israel Hospital in Newark N.J.
She enjoyed seeing her grand children & great grand children who lived in N.C. Some of her favorite things to do was going to Bingo, the occasional visit to the casino’s, watching the old classic movies & going out to dinner.
Surviving are daughters Jo–Ann Delli Santi and her husband Louis of Lake Ariel and Catherine Hood of Clinton, NC. A sister Jane O’Neil of Scotch Plains, NJ, brothers George Wittel of Lavallette, NJ, Robert Wittel of Millstone Twp. NJ, Richard Wittel of Englewood, FL, and Edward Wittel of Westfield, NJ, grandchildren Dawn Thornton and her husband Anthony and Joey Hood and his wife Elizabeth, great grandchildren Emily and Raegan Thornton and Mia Hood, many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her brother Charles Wittel and son-in-law George Hood.
