Funeral services will be held Friday at 2pm in the James Wilson Funeral Home, 143 Gravity Rd. Lake Ariel.

Friends may call Friday from 1pm until time of service at the funeral home.

Interment, East Canaan Cemetery, South Canaan.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions should be made to the Waymart Volunteer Fire and Rescue Company PO Box 186 Waymart, Pa.

Laraine W. Lee, a resident of the Julia Ribuado Extended Care Center, formerly of South Canaan, died Monday in the Center after an illness.  She was the widow of LeRoy Lee.

Born in Waymart in 1927, she was the daughter of the late LeRoy and Mary Elizabeth Enslin Wittig.   A hard working and dedicated person to her family and friends, Laraine left school at an early age to take care of her siblings upon the passing of their mother.   She then went on to work at Katz’s Manufacturing in Honesdale and lastly retiring from the Salvation Army where she worked in the kitchen, a job she held until she was in her 80’s.

Surviving are a sister Blanche Kobeski of New Jersey; a brother John Wittig of Conneticut; sister in laws Katherine Wittig of Waymart and Diane Wittig of Arkansas; extended family among them being Betty May Miller; nieces and nephews;  great nieces and nephews; friends.

She was also preceded in death by brothers Walter and Martin Wittig and a sister Dora Ryan.
