Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 11am in St. Mary’s Church, 334 St. Mary Church Road, Lake Ariel by Rev. Stephen Stavoy.

Those planning on attending the mass, please be aware there is a 35-person maximum capacity inside the church. All other’s will be asked to stand outside and listen to the Mass.

Private cremation to follow.

Friends may call Friday from 9:00 – 10:30am in the James Wilson Funeral Home, 143 Gravity Rd. Lake Ariel.

All CDC guidelines including mandatory use of facial coverings as well as proper social distancing will be strictly enforced. Temperature checks will also be given upon entering the funeral home.

Please be prepared to pay your respects in a timely manner and then exit the funeral home.

Jiovannino “John” Mula, 81, of Wallenpaupack Lake Estates, died Sunday morning at home following an illness. His loving wife of 57 years is the former Annette “Toni” Contartesi.

Born May 7, 1939, he was the son of the late Alfonso and Rosalia Luppino Mula. He attended Queens Borough Community College. Prior to retirement, he was a General Foreman for Con Edison. He was a member of the St. Thomas More / St. Marys Parish Community.

Also surviving are daughters Lonnie Pellecchia and son-in-law Robert of NJ, Linda Mula of Whitestone, NY, and Elisa Mula and son-in-law Brian Murphy of Westport, CT; ; grandchildren Toniann and Jiovannino Pellecchia, Quinn and Declan Murphy a brother Jerry Mula and his wife Diane of Lake Ariel; a sister Carmella Benedict of Holtsville, NY; 6 dear nieces and nephews; 12 great – nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by brothers Salvatore Mula and his wife Elsie and Sebastian Mula and his wife Vivian.
