Obituaries » John F. ”Jack Dennis, Jr. January 12, 2014 Share your Memorial with Family & Friends John F. “Jack Dennis, Jr. of Lake Ariel died Sunday morning at Julia Ribaudo Extended Care Center following an illness. His wife of 66 years is the former Eleanor Bonitz. Born September 25, 1920 in Moosic, son of the late John, Sr. and Eva Decker Dennis, he was a World War II veteran. He was a miner until he moved to Lake Ariel where he was a farmer. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Surviving are a daughter Linda Frisbie and her husband Robert of Carbondale; two sons John III and Gary and his wife Patti all of Lake Ariel; 9 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren; a brother James Dennis of Stroudsburg; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters June Smallcombe and Rose Marie Dennis; two brothers David Dennis and George Dennis. Funeral services will be Thursday at 10:00am in the James Wilson Funeral Home 143 Gravity Rd. Lake Ariel with services by Rev. Wayne Jackson. Friends may call Wednesday from 5:00-8:00pm. Interment, Avoy Cemetery, Lake Ariel.
