JoAnn H. Englert, of Lake Ariel, died peacefully Sunday surrounded by family at Geisinger Community Medical Center in Scranton. Proceeded in death by her husband, David J. Englert Sr and her son David J Englert Jr.

Born in Bridgeport, CT, daughter of the late Clarence and Clara Reeder Noble.

JoAnn was the monarch that held her family together. Anyone who knew JoAnn would refer to her as “one tough cookie”. JoAnn enjoyed playing cards with friends and family and cooking family dinners on Sunday’s. In her earlier years as an artist, she enjoyed painting and teaching ceramic classes. She will always be loved and remembered in our hearts.

Survived by her son John Englert and wife Deborah of Lake Ariel; daughters Michele Estus and companion John Evans of Moscow, Lori Bieber and husband George Bieber of Moosic, Cynthia Howe of Schenectady, NY; daughter-in-law Kim Phillips of Taylor; a sister Carol Covington; a brother Thomas Noble and his wife Maureen; 11 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a brothers Albert, Clarence, Jr., Robert, and Daniel Noble.

Cremation took place at Lake Region Crematory, Lake Ariel.

The family requests that CDC guidelines will be observed including the use of facial coverings and social distancing.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday May 12th at 6:30pm in the James Wilson Funeral Home, 143 Gravity Rd, Lake Ariel, Pa 1843

Friends may call on Wednesday from 5:00 – 6:30pm.
