Joan G. Weller, Sterling, passed away Tuesday evening at home surrounded by her family. She was the wife of Irvin Weller. The couple had been married for 61 years.

Born in East Patterson, New Jersey she was the daughter of the late Russel and Florence Kimble Munson. She was of the Methodist faith. Prior to her retirement she had been employed as a bookkeeper for various businesses including the May family as well as the Caruth Meats. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Harriet Greene Chapter 198.

Joan’s pride and joy was spending time in her quilting room. She made a variety of quilting items which she shared with family and at craft shows.

The family would like to thank Dr. Stella as well as the staff and nurses of the Traditional Home Health and Hospice for the compassionate and dedicated care shown to Joan.

Also surviving are a son Russel and his wife Brenda of Lake Ariel; a grandson Russel and his fiance Lisa Powell of Jefferson Tpw.; a granddaughter Andrea Graboske and her husband George of Plymouth; great grandchildren Darius, Trinity and Peyton.

She was preceded in death by siblings including her brother Russel.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 10am in the James Wilson Funeral Home 143 Gravity Rd. Lake Ariel.

Friends may call Friday morning from 9am until time of service in the funeral home.

Interment, private at the convenience of the family in the Maplewood Evangelical Cemetery.
