Jeffrey M. Kellogg of Pittston died Tuesday morning at Geisinger Wyoming Valley following an illness.

Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late Frederick “Fritz” Kellogg and the late Marcia Pangle Kellogg. He was raised in Dunmore, Pa and attended St. Anthony of Padua Grade School and Dunmore High School. He was employed by Balchune Construction of Duryea.

Surviving are a son, Matthew Kellogg; a sister, Rebecca Kellogg Ballino and her husband, David of Scranton; a nephew and godson Elliott Ballino; many aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to Jeff’s uncle Paul Kellogg, for the love, support and kindness he had provided them throughout the length of Jeff’s illness. Jeff was a fun loving man who enjoyed spending time with his friends and family.

He was always ready to help with a joke and a smile. He was an excellent mason and had numerous other creative talents that were admired by many.

His son Matthew was the pride and joy of his life. He loved his son, sister and parents unconditionally.

He had many true friends throughout his life. He will be missed by many.

Cremation took place in the Lake Region Crematory at the James Wilson Funeral Home, Lake Ariel.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Jeff will be held at a later date.

Arrangements have been entrusted to and are under the care and direction of the James Wilson Funeral Home, Lake Ariel.
