Private cremation took place at Lake Region Crematory, Lake Ariel.

A memorial service will take place on Saturday, July 30th at the Hamlin Assembly of God, 613 Easton Turnpike, Lake Ariel, Pa 18436 with services by Pastor Bill Schneider. Doors will open at 1:00pm for visiting and meeting. The service will begin at 2:00pm and go to 3:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Janis’s name can be sent to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and sent to 100 N. 20th Street, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 19103.

Janis B. Orr, 75, of Greentown, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Friday morning July 8th 2022. She was the loving wife and partner of William E. Orr.

Born on May 29, 1947 in Abington, Pa., she was the daughter of Frank and Emily (Rost) – Salvatore. She was a graduate of North Penn High School and attended Temple University. Prior to retirement, Janis was the Office Manager for the accounting firm of Gable, Peritz, Mishkin LLP. She was a faithful member of the Faith Baptist Fellowship Church, Lake Ariel where she played the piano, Church treasurer, over saw the children’s ministry, coordinated and worked on the VBS program, helped with the feed the children program, housed a small group and served the Lord and her church family as needs arose.

She loved spending time with her four grandchildren at sporting activities, taking them places like Disney World and Hershey Park, making or sending them things and being around them.  Activities she loved were Playing the piano, sewing for the house or children, putting up vegetables and fruit, making crafts, cooking and baking, filling the deck with flowers, as a techy she loved working on the computer and other electronics, most of all she loved spending devotional time and cultivating her personal relationship with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Also surviving are two sons William R. Orr and his wife Dana of North Carolina and Robert W. Orr of Virginia; grandchildren Danielle Janis, Dara Catherine, Will Stanley, and Deborah Anne; three sisters-in-law and three brothers-in-law and Eight nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a sister Rose Barndt; a niece Brenda Eckroth; a nephew Brent Orr.

Private cremation took place at Lake Region Crematory, Lake Ariel.
