Jane L. Crowley, 93, Lake Ariel, died Wednesday in the Julia Ribaudo Extended Care Center after an illness.  She was the widow of Stephen Crowley who died in 1986.

Born January 31, 1923 in Hudson Falls, NY., she was the daughter of the late Timothy D. and Mary E. Pender Sullivan.  She proudly served in the USMC, (Women’s Marine Corps.) during World War II, 1944 to 1946.

She had a long career in NYC in Art and Historic Preservation where she worked as tour coordinator at the Whitney Museum of American Art. She was the Program Director at the Morris-Jumel Mansion Historic House in Washington Heights, NY, the director/administrator at Kingsland House Homestead and Bowne House, both in Flushing, NY, and the Vice President of the Metropolitan Historic Structures Association, NYC. Jane was very active in the Maspeth, Queens Community, including serving as executive director of Maspeth Town Hall.

Surviving are daughter Norah Crowley Cassett and her husband Thomas of Lake Ariel; and a granddaughter Claudia Rondon  and her husband Patrick of Manhatten.

She was preceded in death by her son Stephen Crowley
