Jamie Sheerer, Jefferson Twp., passed away Tuesday in the Allied Services Hospice Center after an illness.  His companion is Julie Boland, Dunmore.

Born 1974 in Scranton he was the son of Carol Freeman Sheerer and the late Pete Sheerer.  He had been employed by Ritters on Route 590 in Hamlin.

Jamie was a kind person who will be greatly missed.  He was a faithful Pittsburgh Steelers fan and loved watching football on Sundays, while managing his fantasy football team, aptly named “The Steel Curtain”.  You would find him often dominating on the pool table at his “basement” bar, Kuzzin’s.  Anyone who knew Jamie regularly enjoyed his one-liners and witty zingers, usually being on the receiving end of his unique humor!  He had a fondness for Johnny Cash and other musical greats.

Also surviving are his daughter Kyla Sheerer; siblings Gladys Aleckna and husband Tony, Gloria Gard, Lisa Swingle and husband John, Amy Davis and husband Rich, Billy Sheerer, Marlene Lloyd, and Pete Sheerer and wife Missy, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by siblings Paul, Petie, Carol Ann and Kathy.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11am in the Mt. Cobb Cemetery, Mt. Cobb Corner’s.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the gofundme: https://gofund.me/8671e71d
