Jamie F. Park, Jefferson Twp., died Saturday afternoon in the Moses Taylor Hospital after an illness.  His wife of 28 years is the former Kathy I. Harris.

Born in Saltillo, PA in 1950, he was the son of Anna Rupert Park and the late Harold Park.  He was a graduate of Southern Huntington High School Class of 1968.  While living in Saltillo, he was member of the Calvary Baptist Church and more recently the Cortez United Methodist Church.

Recently retired as a concrete foreman, Jamie worked for over 45 years in the construction business. Jamie was an avid fisherman who enjoyed spending time on the water and participating in local fishing tournaments. He also enjoyed hunting, playing horseshoes, and generally spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed watching Penn State football, the Pittsburg Steelers and the Pittsburg Pirates, but you wouldn’t know it unless his team was winning.  Jamie was a kind, fun-loving person who was easy to be friends with, which is demonstrated by the number of great friendships he was able to make and maintain during his lifetime.  He will be greatly missed by many, but not forgotten.

Also surviving are sons Kevin and his wife Becca of Waymart and Ryan and his wife Regan of Mount Joy, PA; a sister Glenda Zinobile and her husband Michael of Mapleton Depot, PA; grandchildren Hannah, Jenna, Jordynn, Zach, Brody and Brynn; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was also preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents Jessie Rupert and Dorothy Trout Rupert and Emory Park and Emma Wreck Park respectively.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11am in the James Wilson Funeral Home 143 Gravity Rd. Lake Ariel by Rev. Art Yetter

Cremation will follow in the Lake Region Crematory at the James Wilson Funeral Home

Friends may call Tuesday from 4-7pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Fishing For a Cause, 310 Bunker Drive Hanover Township, PA 18706.
