Born in Scranton, he was the son of John and Cynthia Houlgrave – Eike of Lake Ariel. He attended Western Wayne High School and was currently employed as a Prep Cook at Fit AF Nutrition in Carbondale. James could often be found riding dirt bikes and quads. He also enjoyed snowboarding, skateboarding, RC Car racing, and fishing. Also surviving are his brother Christopher Eike of Philadelphia; maternal grandmother Patricia Houlgrave of Lake Ariel; and Aunt’s Christine Houlgrave of Lake Ariel and Karen Carpenter of Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather James Houlgrave and paternal grandparents John and Elizabeth Eike. Private cremation took place at Lake Region Crematory, Lake Ariel.
