The Funeral procession will be leaving the Funeral Home at 1pm.

Interment, Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst Twp., Pa.

James I. McLain (Jim), 71 of Moscow, passed away Saturday, March 5 at the VA Medical Center in Wilkes – Barre following an illness. His loving wife of 43 years is the former Vanessa Sinclair.

Born in Scranton, Pa, he was the son of the late Harold W. and Marguerete E. Swartz – McLain. He attended North Pocono High School and was a graduate of Lake Consolidated High School.  He served in the U.S. Marine Corps as a machine gunner during the Vietnam War from 1968-1970. He later joined the CB’s Construction Battalion Reserve Unit. He was a founding member of the John J. Michaels VFW Post 5207 in Covington Twp. Jim pursued his career/passion as a heavy equipment operator, retiring from R.L.E. Enterprises.

Jim was a lifelong resident of Moscow Pa. He was a man you could count on. To his family, friends, and neighbors he was always just a phone call away. He was a hardworking, generous man who will never be forgotten.

Also surviving are a daughter Lisa McLain of Moscow; a son Scott McLain and his wife Lauren of Plains; a sister Judy McLain – Palmer and husband Don of Moscow; brothers Timothy McLain and wife Elaine of Moscow, Bill McLain of Lake Ariel, and Mike McLain and wife Tammi of Lake Ariel; grandchildren Ryan McLain of Mt. Cobb, Olivia and Joseph Baer of Moscow, Mia McLain of Plains, Taylor and Amber McLain of Ocala, FL; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a son James I. McLain, Jr. and sister Sue Ellen McLain.

Private cremation took place at Lake Region Crematory, Lake Ariel.
