James Harder

March 25, 1959 – July 29, 2024

James Harder, Carbondale, passed away Monday morning at his home with his family by his side.

Born 1959 in Honesdale, he was the son of the late Norman and Augustine Derrick Harder.  He was a graduate of Owen J Roberts High School in 1977 and was of the Catholic faith.  He worked at two car dealerships in Arizona.  The first was Lou Grubb Chevy in Phoenix AZthen at Gateway Chevrolet in Avondale AZ before moving back home.  He then worked at Motorworld in Wilkes Barre, Tony Domiano in car sales at both before switching careers and being employed at two call centers Stericyle and TMG Health.  He finally went to work at Gentex before retiring at the age of 62.  He was a great lover of classic cars and was in a Camero club while living in Arizona

Surviving are two sisters Shirley Baker and her husband Robert and Arlene Hollendonner and her husband Reed; nieces and nephews Amy, Ed, Tammy, Barbara, Wendy and Brent;  his loving and devoted cousin Patty Michko.

He was also preceded in death by his uncle and aunt Augie and Gertrude Michko and cousin Paul Michko.

Funeral services are postponed until further notice.
