Hugh J. Williamson of West Palm Beach, FL and formerly of Lake Ariel died Monday at Avante Assisted Living, Lake Worth, FL following an illness. His wife was the former Terese Haeussler.

Born in Patterson, NJ, son of the late Hugh and Margaret Van Vooren Williamson, he worked a Manger in Trust Banking. He was a member of St. Thomas More/St. Mary’s Parish Community, Lake Ariel and he was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He was an avid fisherman and a baseball and football coach.

Surviving are daughters Anne Williamson of West Palm Beach, FL and Jean Brown and her husband Al of Garwood, NJ; sons Hugh and his wife Susan of Miller Place, NY, Phil and his wife Lisa of Lake Ariel, and John and his wife Sharon of Clifton, NJ; grandchildren Sean, Marie, Melissa and Michelle Williamson, and Darby and John Brown; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a daughter Catherine Williamson and a sister Patricia Corola.

A Blessing Service will be held Saturday at 10:00am in the James Wilson Funeral Home 143 Gravity Rd. Lake Ariel.

Friends may call Friday from 4:00-7:00pm.

Interment, with military honors in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ledgedale.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society www.cancer.org or to the Wounded Warrior Project www.woundedwarriorproject.org.
