Funeral Services will be Monday at 11:00am in the James Wilson Funeral Home 143 Gravity Rd. Lake Ariel, PA with services by Pastor Ken Claflin and Clifford Jones.

Friends may call Sunday from 2:00-5:00pm and Monday morning from 10am until the time of the service.

Spring Interment, Salem Cemetery, Hamlin.

Harriet I. Lobley of Hamlin died Thursday at home following an illness. Her husband of 58 years was Herbert Lobley who died in 2004.

Born in Scranton, daughter of the late Allen and Isabel Dowse, and step-mother Anna Backus Dowse, in her early life she was a housewife and later years she worked as a self-employed Notary Public and Title Clerk with her son Lee. She attended the Hamlin Assembly of God Church, where she was a founding member of the Women’s Ministries.

Surviving are a daughter Elaine Smith and her husband Allen and a son Lee all of Hamlin; a granddaughter Sharon Smith of Matamoras; a brother Bernell A. Dowse and his wife Florence of Placerville, CA; a half-brother Robert Dowse and his wife Kathy of Clyde, TX; a half sister Ellen Palmero and her husband Gerald of Scranton; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; extended family Karen Lyons, Lucille Chapman, and Beryl Swingle.

She was preceded in death by a son Lynn; a brother Alfred C. Dowse; a step-brother James Backus.

The family would like to thank Home Health and Hospice for their compassionate care.
