Harold “Butch” Wright, Sr., 74 of Sterling, died Friday evening at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Honesdale. His wife of 26 years is the former Margaret Jones.

Born in Trenton, NJ, he was the son of the late Lyle and Elsie Chapman Wright. He was a graduate of Bensalem High School Class of 1964. Prior to retirement, he was an Electronics Mechanic at Tobyhanna Army Depot. A United States Marine Corp Veteran, Butch served in the Vietnam War and was awarded two Purple Hearts.

Butch took great pride in his garden and would spend hours everyday taking care of it. He was happiest in his garden, on his tractor, and a cooler of cold beer. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and one of the biggest Philadelphia Eagles fans anyone would ever meet.

Also surviving are a son Howie Wright of Hamlin; daughter Kim Ammorine of South Canaan; step-daughter Erica Morgan of Tobyhanna; step-son Stanley Morgan, Jr. of Tobyhanna; sister Glenna Thorpe of Bensalem; grandchildren Christian Wright, Morgan Ammorine, and Alex Ammorine; nieces Karen Hickey and Cheryl Charlesworth.

A Memorial Service will take place on Wednesday at 11:00am in the James Wilson Funeral Home, 143 Gravity Rd. Lake Ariel, Pa 18436.
