In lieu of flowers, Gert’s wishes were memorial contributions be made to the St Thomas More Church PO Box 188 Lake Ariel, PA

Gertrude V. Curley Chervenick, a resident of St Mary’s Villa Residence and formerly of The Hideout, passed away Friday morning in the Mountain View Care Center after a short stay.   She was the widow of Victor Chervenick who passed away December 22, 1997.

Born, January 23,1928 in New York, she was the daughter of the late Patrick and Anne Curley of County Sligo, Ireland.

Gert was a devoted and faithful member of the St. Thomas More Parish Community, Lake Ariel where she was active with the food pantry and served on a counting team as well as with the hospitality committee.   Prior to her retirement, she worked in the Finance Department at AT&T in New York

Gert was a wonderful person who always treated everyone with respect.  A true class act.   She was a lady in every sense of the word.  Those who were lucky enough to have known her will deeply miss her.

Surviving are nieces and nephews including Barbara Buckley, Patricia DeSantis, Helen Curley Coleman, Teresa Curley and Stephen, Kevin and Martin Curley. She was a grandaunt to Alana Buckley Coombes, Kate Coleman Mulry and Emily Coleman.
