Georgina C. Rosengrant, 98, Jefferson Twp., passed away Tuesday afternoon in the Geisinger Community Medical Center after being stricken ill.  She was the widow of Alfred R. Rosengrant who passed away in 2020.  At the time of his passing the couple had been married for 74 years.

Born 1925 in Scranton and she was the daughter of the late Maynard Kizer and Adelaide Baisden and the stepdaughter of Raymond Baisden.  A woman of deep faith, Georgina was the oldest and faithful member of the Cortez United Methodist Church.  She had been employed as a beautician, at the Grove Silk Mill, for her stepfather in his jewelry story the Brennan and Baisden Jewelry store in Scranton.  She was also the owner of the G Rosengrant Construction Company with Alfred running the business.

Georgina loved to travel with her husband especially to Florida, where they enjoyed wonderful evenings listening to Gospel Music.  Above all she loved her family and the Lord.   She will be deeply missed.

The family wants to thank Ruth and Erin of Geisinger at Home along with Kaleena for the dedicated and compassionate care they showed to Georgina.

Surviving are her son David Rosengrant and his wife Lissette “Betty” of Maplewood; grandchildren granddaughters Debra and Jeremy Davis, granddaughter Kimberly Dicky and Sean Germaine, grandsons David, Ph.D. and Tiffany Rosengrant and Grandson Michael and Abigail Dickey; great grandchildren Brandon Davis, Victoria Davis, Samuel Dickey, Alexandria Rosengrant, Alice Dickey, and Jonathan Rosengrant.
