Frances C. Connolly, 88, of Lake Ariel, died Monday morning at Wayne Woodlands Manor, Waymart. Her husband was the late Harold Connolly who died in 1983.

Born in Dunmore, daughter of the late Harry and Harriet Miller Hedglin, she was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Mt. Cobb.

She had a beautiful smile and showed kindness to all around her. Most of all she loved her family dearly. She loved sewing and collecting thimbles and putting together puzzles.

The family would like to thank all the staff at Wayne Woodlands Manor and Traditional Hospice for their kind and compassionate care.

Surviving are two daughters Lorraine Barry and Diana Chumard both of Lake Ariel; four sons Wallace Connolly of Greenville, NY, Patrick Connolly and Ronald Connolly both of Beach Lake, and Harold Connolly, Jr. of Newport Richey, FL; 24 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday at 11:00am in the James Wilson Funeral Home 143 Gravity Rd. Lake Ariel.

Friends may call Friday from 9:00-11:00am.

Interment, Maplewood Methodist Cemetery, Maplewood.

Cremation took place in the Lake Region Crematory at the James Wilson Funeral Home, Lake Ariel.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Maplewood Fire and Rescue Co. P.O. Box 527 Lake Ariel, PA 18436.
