Funeral Home James Wilson Funeral Home

Cemetery Maplewood Evangelical Cemtery

Elna will be laid to rest alongside her husband John in the Maplewood Cemetery in a location that was viewed daily by her mother from her favorite kitchen window, and one Elna passed daily on her walk to the Maplewood School. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. A Memorial Service and Picnic will be held on May 22, at the Salem Community Church’s Picnic Area behind the church, Save The Date!

Arrangements have been entrusted to and are under the care and direction of James Wilson Funeral Home, Lake Ariel.

In lieu of flowers we recommend you spend a day volunteering in your community. If you would prefer to make a monetary donation in honor of Elna’s commitment to service, you may consider The Salem Community Church or the Maplewood Fire and Rescue Company, or the charity of your choice.

Dear Bonnie and Bill, One of the songs that John and I sang together was called "I Want to Stroll Over Heaven With You". I can just picture Elna with her Johnny, strolling together. They were two of the loveliest people I ever met. They may never have had their own children, but they had a large loving family in the Old Time Fiddlers! Please know that your Aunt Elna was very special to us. Our deepest sympathies to you and your families. Lourdes Brown

Rest in Peace Elna. Maybe you can sort mail with my dad now that you are there together. We had lots of good times with you and John at my parents picnics. You were a great mail carrier too, ours in fact for many years. Sympathy to your family, they will miss you.

Bonnie and Bill, sorry to hear about Elna. She and Johnny were two of the nicest people. Always had time to chat and great stories to tell. We have many great memories of camping, fishing and snowmobiling with them along with the rest of "the gang", as my father would say.
