Dear Treva, I am very sorry to read about Elmer’s passing. He was such a good and honorable man! I had worked with him at Adelphia in Duryea. He was very conscientious in his job and a pleasure to be around. I also met you in and around Wayne County when Elmer was singing as I had worked at one of the banks there. I wish you and your family well in this most difficult time. Sincerely, Linda Moran

What a dear man. I don't know whether to call him my neighbor, friend, bluegrass bandleader, brother, or even father. He truly was all those to me. He was always there for me when I needed a helping hand. He helped me build my garage, fix my well or my car, and taught me how to maintain my farmhouse and I could go on and on..... He always had a solution to my problems or issues. He was a generous, loving man and someone I always looked up to. I loved Elmer and will miss him so very much. My heart goes out to his whole family and I wish I could hug you all. May God bless you and be with you during this time of sorrow.
