Lake Ariel. Anyone planning on attending the mass is asked to go directly to the Church. Friends may call Wednesday from 4:00-8:00pm in the James Wilson Funeral Home 143 Gravity Rd. Lake Ariel. Cremation will follow the Mass in the Lake Region Crematory, Lake Ariel. Vuolo, 75, of The Hideout, Lake Ariel died Saturday evening at Regional Hospital of Scranton following an illness. Her husband and best friend for 53 years is Andrew Vuolo. Born in Mt. Vernon, NY, daughter of the late Edmund and Beatrice Winters Comerford. She was member of St. Thomas More St Mary’s Parish Community and attended the St. Thomas More Church where she was a Eucharistic Minister. Prior to retirement she worked as a Executive Assistant. Betty loved her family and friends above all else and would never let anyone leave her house without a home cooked meal. She loved traveling to new places, making donations at the casino and bragging about her girls and her grandchildren. Also surviving are daughters Maria Rugg and husband Keith of Rochester, NY and Linda Nole and husband Gregg of Coarsegold, CA; brother Edmund Comerford of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren Nathan Martin, Charles Rugg, Taylor Rugg; great granddaughter Brenna Martin; several nieces and nephews.
