Share your Memorial with Family & Friends Born in Avoca, PA, he was the son of the late Paul and Sophie Babinski Tripus. He attended Moosic High School and was a US Army veteran of World War II who served in the Pacific Theater. He was a member of the Sterling United Methodist Church. Ed and Ruth farmed for many years on the farm in Sterling where Ruth was born. After that, Ed became a millwright in the Carpenters Union 645. During his retirement Ed owned and operated a sawmill. Ed enjoyed woodworking and woodcarving. He had a vast collection of his work that he created throughout the years. Also surviving is a sister Josephine Hanczya and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers John, Paul, Adam, and Joseph Tripus and his sisters Jenny Korick, Mary Vadovsky, Vern Lee, Frances Wilk, and Theresa Vishnesky. A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are entrusted to the James Wilson Funeral Home, Lake Ariel.
