Dorothy M. Kuniegel, Cortez, died Saturday in the Regional Hospital of Scranton after a prolonged illness.

Born 1947 in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late William B. and Winifred Bagnick Medalis.  She graduated in 1965 from North Pocono High School and continued her education learning key punch.  Dorothy used these skills in her professional career at Harper Row Publishers and then the Federal Bureau of Investigation.  She later worked and retired from CINRAM. The family would like to sincerely thank Dr. Delserra, Dr. McGuire and Dr. Manahan along with the Hospitalists, nurses and support staff at Regional Hospital of Scranton for their dedicated and compassionate care given to Dorothy during her time at the hospital.
