I read about Dorothy's death in the Star Ledger. I am so sorry for your loss. What an amazing woman. Death of a loved one can be very distressing even if the person is elderly or sick. The Bible teaches us that death was not part of God's original plan. He wanted man to live forever on a paradise earth, in perfect health. Man disobeyed God and brought about sin and death to the human race. God's plan will still be realized. Isaiah 55:11 states, "So my word that goes out of my mouth will be. It will not return to me without results, but it will certainly accomplish whatever is my delight. It will have sure success in what I send it to do." The Bible talks about a resurrection of those who have died. (Acts 24:15, John 5:28, 29) The word resurrection in the Bible literally means "a standing up again" and "revival of the dead". The provision for resurrection of the dead is a magnificent expression of God's undeserved kindness. It displays his wisdom and power and is a means by which his original purpose regarding the earth and humans will be carried out. Dorothy was a special lady. She was loved by everyone. I am a volunteer at Allied and my mom and I helped her in activies, she thanked us a million times and always kissed our hand. Loved getting her nails done, we always waited to see what she had done. You will be missed Dorothy. To Dorothy's family we are sorry for your loss. God Bless

I saw Dorothy almost every Saturday when I and some volunteers from Holy Rosary Church in North Scranton came to do a Communion Service at Allied Skilled Nursing. Dorothy was always present at the service and sat front and center. She was dressed beautifully each time! She participated in the service and received Communion each week. Many times I would stop to have a few words with her and she was gracious and appreciative - a real lady. We were privileged to have known her and to pray with her through the years. I will keep your family in my prayers. Her life was a real gift to all of you and to us. God bless you. Sr. Therese Mary, IHM Mary, Mother of God Parish at Holy Rosary Church

To the family of Dorothy, My sincerest condolences on the loss of such a beautiful person. I loved her from the first time I met her. I served her lunch Monday- Friday in the dining room. She always had such a regal appearance. She asked me one day how long I worked at Allied. I told her. She said to me ,”you are such a nice girl.” How sweet!! I’ll never forget her. You all showed her so much love and respect. You are a beautiful family. God bless her beautiful soul. Sincerely, Denise Talarico

What a full and beautiful life Miss Dottie lived. How lucky to have all those years with her wonderful family. She will be missed by so many, but all will have fond memories of a special lady. I remember bringing Miss Dottie and my Mom to a show at Woodloch Pines. We had so many laughs. My recent memories are running into her several times while she was having her hair done. Never a hair out of place. And we can't forget her competitive card playing. Miss Dottie will live on through her family who will surely miss her. Sincere condolences from Patti and Blaise Speranza
