Gilpin, Lake Ariel, died Tuesday morning in the Regional Hospital of Scranton after an illness. She was the widow of Bradley M. Gilpin who died in 2015. The couple had been married 42 years. Born in Honesdale, she was the daughter of the late William and Kathleen Rupert Samson. She was a graduate of the Lake Consolidated School and was a member of the Lake Ariel United Methodist Church. Donna dedicated herself to taking care of her family who were everything to her. She will be greatly missed by all who are blessed to have known her. Her life revolved around her children and grand children. She left behind a great legacy of family values and constant moral support. Momma Duke will be greatly missed! Surviving are sons William and Jeffrey Gilpin both of Lake Ariel; daughters Nicole Klikus and her husband Joseph of Hawley and Brittany Gilpin of Lake Ariel; a stepson Scott Vannatta of AZ; a brother Calvin Samson and his wife Cathy; a sister Deborah Brumley all of Lake Ariel; grandchildren Mitchell, Cedar, Chloe, Jeffrey and Jade; step grandchildren Nicholas and Ashley; nieces and nephews.
