Dianne Elizabeth Cooper-Madden, age 79, left this world on Monday June 27th, 2022.

Dianne was born and raised in Newark, New Jersey. She led a life deeply rooted in her catholic faith and valued learning. Dianne earned a Master’s degree in education and although she taught in many schools, her longest tenure was teaching kindergarten at South Street School in Newark, New Jersey. After retiring from South Street School she extended her career, twice more, leading childcare and pre-school classrooms.

When she was not teaching, Dianne enjoyed horseback riding. Through competing in show jumping competitions, she won countless ribbons including first place, champion, and grand champion. Later in life, she took up square dancing where she met her husband, Donald Madden. Dianne and Donald married in 2006.

Dianne was a selfless mother and wife. She truly cared about the welfare of others, even if they were strangers. She did what was needed to help, support, guide, or speak up for others. Dianne was full of life and spunk. She was thoughtful, kind, encouraging, understanding, and gracious. He intentions were always good and always from the heart. Dianne was a pillar of strength.

Beloved daughter of the late Richmond and Genevieve Cooper and predeceased by her brother Denis Cooper. Dianne is survived by her husband Donald Madden, her daughter Kathleen Cooper, her daughter-in-law Danielle Cooper, granddaughter Autumn Cooper, brother Richmond Cooper, sister-in-law Patricia Cooper, sister-in-law Grace Cooper, her niece Kelly Podsiedlik and nephew Denis Cooper.

Services will be held on Friday July 1st, 2022 at St. Mary’s Church in Lake Ariel, PA. Viewing will be at the church, at 9am. Mass will begin at 10am.
