Dear Mark, Brit & family, I am so very sorry for your loss. I don't have to tell you how special Denise was-you were so blessed to have her there every day. Even though I hadn't seen her since I left ur church almost 6 yrs. ago, I still considered her my friend. I'll always remember the times we were together & some little treasures she gave to me. She was a sweetheart & she will always be loved & missed. Darlene Lugo

My deepest condolences to Mark, Britteny and the whole family. Denise was someone special, whom I definitely admired. She welcomed me as a part of the family without question, back when I was a weird awkward person. I was fortunate to spend a few Holidays over at Mark and Denis’. She let me help prepare Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, and I think even a few Birthday dinners. Though I never had the confidence to make it past the helping stage, I learned about stuffed cabbage and peppers, cutting meats and cheese, and that you can put sausage in thanksgiving stuffing. An awesome discovery! She would let me sing to her birds, and lounge on the floor under the dining room table with the dog, as if it was a normal thing. I enjoyed a few sleep overs, picnics, mushroom picking, arts and crafts, and the fact she talked to you as a person, and a friend. Those were good times. A few times over the years she came to visit me at work, always filled with light and conversation, updating me on stuff. Always seeming to take things way more light heartedly than most people would. Telling me over, and over to come visit. I regret not being able to visit, but I am very happy I was fortunate enough to have known her. It is people like her that inspire me to be kinder to others. She is in my prayers, and so is the family. Again my deepest sympathy and condolences to Everyone.
