CARTE, Debra Louise (née Korn) of Lakeville PA passed away peacefully Thursday February 26, 2015 at home in the arms of her loving husband Paul F. Carte, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.Born in Rochester PA, daughter of the late William and Dorothy Korn. Debra was an avid gardener and was employed in the nursery industry for many years in Virginia. Debra has also spent the past 7 years at Wilmot Nursery in Lake Ariel.

Debra had a wonderful sense of humor, a great love of life and wildlife. Debra sure loved her Steelers! She was a vibrant loving woman whose struggle didn’t deter her from doing what she loved. Debra faced her illness with  great strength! Debra will be missed deeply by all who knew and loved her.

The family would like to thank the GWV-Henry Cancer Center, GMC and the Hospice of the Sacred Heart, especially Lisa Molinaro who was not only a great nurse but also a good friend.

Survived by her sister Terry and Bill Johnson, brother Bill and Alicia Korn, all of Fredericksburg, VA and several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by brother Kerry Korn

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Debra’s life will be held May 31st in Lakeville PA.
