Family visitation hours will be held from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, Saturday, May 21, 2016, at the James Wilson Funeral Home, 143 Gravity Road, Lake Ariel, Pa. 18436.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, May 22, 2016 at 3:00pm at the Lake Ariel United Methodist Church, 110 Maple Avenue, Lake Ariel, Pa. 18436. A reception will follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Lake Ariel United Methodist Church’s Memorial Fund in David’s name or to the Salvation Army, P.O. Box G, Waymart, Pa. 18472.

David Blair Wilson
May 18, 1926 to May 16, 2016

David passed away 2 days prior to his 90th birthday. David was born in Scranton, PA. He was predeceased by his parents, Lillian and Albert Wilson, all seven of his siblings, and his beloved wife, Margery Lutz Wilson.

Dave is survived by his sons Stephen, Jeffrey and wife Marguerite, Gregory and his wife Peggy, Scott, and his daughter Carole Wilson Zubro. His eight grandchildren are Skye Wilson, Heather Zubro Ciccone, Rebecca Zubro Montano, Renee Wilson Beall, David Wilson, Leigh Wilson Washington, Matthew Wilson, and Nathan Askins. He is also survived by five great grandchildren: Vincent LaVigna, Caden Wilson, Joy and Hunter Montano and Miles Beall.

Dave was a graduate of Technical High School in Scranton, PA. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1944 to 1946, when he was honorably discharged.

He was a decades-long member, Trustee, and choir member of Lake Ariel United Methodist Church.

Dave loved being surrounded by his extensive family, fishing, socializing with his friends, feeding his birds (while scaring off squirrels), and watching sports on television.

Dave’s family would like to thank and commend Personal Home Health Care and Hospice as well as Hospice of the Sacred Heart for their professionalism and compassionate care given to our father.
