Darren Muro, 55, of Hawley, PA, passed away unexpectedly Friday afternoon in the Wayne Memorial Hospital after a short battle with aggressive cancer. The love of his life for 23 years, wife of 6 years is the former Catherine Rutledge. Together they raised their blended families in a full house.

Born 1969 in Teaneck, New Jersey, Darren was the son of William V. Muro and Doris Cerando Muro Kelly. He was educated in Western Wayne Schools and a graduate of the former Bishop O’Hara High School. Darren put his talent for business, painting, and his ability to care and mentor others into creating a successful company, Cover All Painting Co. , going strong for 37 years where he went above and beyond to satisfy every single customer. His talent did not stop there, he was a well known drummer for the group Rude Awakening, started in 1994, a passion of his which he thoroughly enjoyed.

He is survived by his mother Doris, wife Cathy,  daughter Haile Swingle Muro; son Devon Muro; three bonus sons Michael Walsh, Nathaniel and Joshua Williams; brother Justin Muro and wife Melissa; sister Nicole Samuels and husband D’Angelo; stepbrother Daniel Kelly; nephew Jack and niece Grace.
