Carolyn D. Adolfson of Waymart died Sunday night at Hospice of the Sacred Heart Inpatient Unit, Dunmore following an illness.

Born in Brushville, Pa daughter of the late Mark and Florence McCoy Hall, she was a member of  Canaan Bible Chapel. She had worked as a receptionist at Action Personel and as a Teacher’s Aide at Canaan Christian Academy.

Carolyn’s great passion was her music and playing her piano. She wrote three songs with her piano without ever writing a single note down. She had a God-given talent to play all her music by ear.  She was only ever given 3 piano lessons as a child.  But her greatest passion was always spending time with her grandkids and as any good grandparent, she never hesitated to spoil them when she had the opportunity.

Surviving are sons Kevin and his wife Sherry of Summerfield, FL, Gary and his wife Margaret of Dickson City, Robert and his wife Mary of Smyrna, TN , Daniel and his wife Danielle of Bethany, David and his wife Paula of Mason, OH, and a daughter Joye McNulty and her husband Pete of Honesdale; ; sisters Robyn Hall and Connie Bush; a brother Roger Hall; 16 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a sister Jane Hall and a brother Clare Hall.
