Carol B. McClure, 84, of Lake Ariel, died Thursday at The Gardens for Memory Care at Easton. Her husband of 45 years is Thomas McClure. Her first husband, Stanley Turouski died in 1971

Born in Cold Springs, Pa, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Vera Wilmarth Burkavage. She attended Lake Consolidated School in Lake Ariel and was a member of the St. Thomas More / St. Mary’s Parish Community. Prior to retirement, she was a custodian at Western Wayne High School.

Carol loved to cook, clean, and grow flowers in her garden. She was an avid reader and enjoyed embroidering.

Also surviving are daughters Tina Richards and her companion Kevin Gress of Lake Ariel and Sandy Williams and her husband Joe of Lake Ariel; sister Aldona Turouski and her companion Roseann Mele; brother Joseph Burkavage of Beach Lake; Several grandchildren; 13 greatgrandchildren; nieces and nephews

She was preceded in death by her son Steve Turouski.

Due to the current health crisis, services will be private at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements have been entrusted to and are under the care and direction of James Wilson Funeral Home, Lake Ariel.
