Bruce Brooks, Jr. son of the late Bruce and Gloria Santiso Brooks and a lifelong resident of Lake Ariel passed away Thursday evening at the age of 67 with his wife of 38 years Deborah Holevinski Brooks lovingly by his side.

Bruce had a long career as a skilled carpenter where he had a hand in building many beautiful homes in the area.

Bruce had an easy-going nature and a wonderful sense of humor which served him well as a youth baseball, basketball and soccer coach and made for many memorable moments shared with his children Christopher, Dakota and Zoey Brooks.   One of his proudest moments was walking his soon to be daughter in law Lauren down the aisle to marry Dakota and later spinning her enthusiastically around the dance floor.

Bruce’s happiest days were those spent with family and friends, watching his beloved New York Giants and cooking up a storm.   He will be greatly missed especially by “Christmas” and “Snowy” his constant fluffy companions.

Also surviving are his brother Barry Brooks and wife Mary Ann Brooks; members of the Holevinski family including his father-in-law Edward Holevinski; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by his mother-in-law Florence “Bobbi” Holevinski; aunts and uncles.
