Bruce Fraser Covey, Lake Ariel, passed away Christmas Eve with his
family by his side in the Wayne Woodlands Manor after fighting Cancer
for nearly 25 years.   The love of his life was his wife Betty Ann
Dolowy Covey who passed away on December 9, 2017.

Bruce was born in 1943 in Carbondale, PA and was the son of the late
Hilton and Ellen Fraser Covey.   Bruce attended Scranton Technical High
School.  Bruce went on to become an accomplished home builder and the
owner of Bruce Covey Builders.  He built many homes in The Hideout and
surrounding area with attention to detail and competence that was hard
to match.  He served honorably and proudly in the United States Air
Force.

Bruce was a loving husband, father and grandfather whose family always
came first.  Throughout his life he enjoyed Antique cars, boating and
vacationing in the Florida Keys with Betty and their family and friends.
Some of the most wonderful days in his life were spent boating around
the islands in the Gulf of Mexico.  Bruce loved German Shepherd dogs and
had many throughout his life since his childhood.  During his career as
a builder he was known to always have one by his side.  Later in life,
Bruce enjoyed traveling in his motorhome with Betty and his family
having made trips to the Florida Keys and the Southwestern United
States.

Also surviving are his children Bruce Covey and his wife Andrea of Lake
Ariel; daughter Audra Borowski and her husband Joseph of Hollidaysburg;
his brother Richard Covey of Lake Ariel; grandchildren Jordan Onder and
her husband Marc; Joshua Covey, Jacob Covey and his wife Kellyn
Kemmerer; Conrad, Rebecca, Bryce and Carilyn Borowski; Great
Granddaughters Claire and Quinn Onder; nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by his beloved daughter Jennifer Covey who
passed away in 1998; brother Donald Covey and his wife Ann formerly of
Arkansas; his sister Audrey Batroff and her husband Ron formerly of
Georgia; his sister-in-law Rose Covey of Lake Ariel.

Religious and Military Services and interment were private and held at
the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully encourages memorial
contributions made in Bruce’s honor and memory to the Special Olympics
